"Who could do this?" Max had wrapped bandages on all her wounds and stitched her arms. Nora was now leaning on the recliner with her eyes closed but he knew she was not sleeping.
Alric was sitting on the other side with his gaze so dark and killing intent overflowing from him.
"Many!" Nora whispered with a chuckle. "The list is never ending. It could be my lost uncle, my sister’s lackeys, Benard’s men or his father’s!" she pointed at Alric with her chin.
Max was stunned by the long list. But most of them were either her family or his!
Alric stiffened at the last name but shook his head.
"He would not do it." he did not specify but Nora knew he was talking about his father. "Mother told him that you have saved Alex. and he is keeping a watch on your business dealings. He told Ava that you are a good seedling. As long as you let go of your emotions, you could be trained to be much better." Nora sneered. She did not want to be trained to lose her emotions.
Only the thought of revenge and her hatred had brought her here. She could not let it go. But she went in deep thought and sighed,
"Did you get any information about my uncle?" Alric felt guilt rising to his chest and did not reply. Nora did not need the reply at this point. "The coward must have left the country already. So, it couldn’t be him too." she sighed! How she wanted her uncle to make this mistake so that she could send him to his daughter.
