Chapter 413: Lost In The Past!
"Max! Why is she not waking up!" Max frowned as Alric shouted again. He stared at the girl with a frown. Her skin was cold dead. Her heart was beating and her pulse was normal.
"She has a fever. She is underwater for a long time. Her body must be exhausted." he explained but Alric did not buy random excuses.
"It had been the whole night. You have already given her shots and I have changed the wet strips on her all night. It had been fifteen hours. She should have woken up." Max sighed. Sometimes, he wished, Alric had not learnt basic things about treatment.
Now he treats himself no less than a doctor.
"Everyone had a different body, Alric. She only has a fever. She will wake up soon. If not.." he went silent.
Alric’s heart reached his throat and he looked at Max anxiously.
"If not?" the words felt like explosives had fallen on his body. He had confirmed the doctor and other staff. She had been home all day. Later, she was told that one of her friends was pregnant. There was nothing that could worry her to the limit that she stood under the shower with her clothes on.
Alric felt like a fool! He claimed that he loved her but there were so many things he still did not know about her. He did not know about her at all. And the thought had scared him for the first time.
As he watched her serene face, he felt uneasy. She only looked like she was sleeping yet he felt fear and trepidation. What if she never woke up? The thought was so strange yet it left his skin crawling.
