Chapter 397: Depending On Your Skills
Chris finally leaned on the chair and chuckled.
"Ah! So you are here for the shares not for me. You broke my heart, Nora." his voice only looked bemused as he spoke. "But I am sorry, I can not sell these shares."
"I will offer twice the amount." Chris paused. He had purchased the shares of this company at half the price since the stock value had fallen at that time.
But now, with Alric’s help the shares had risen again and the stock value was all time higher. If he sold these shares, he would earn thrice the amount he had invested already.
But if she was offering the double price! Chris watches her intently.
"Do you even have that much wealth Nora? Or are you depending on your skills to please Alric and buy the shares for you?" Nora did not miss the crude remark and the way he stared at her chest.
"A man like Alric did not need sex to decide business, Mr Benard." Nora shrugged. "You need money, I have money. I want shares, you have shares. It is a simple business deal. And I am offering you the best price. Rest if you wish." she stood up to leave making him frown.
He had three more companies but for some reason, they all were suffering. His entertainment company that was fourth in the ranking, all over the country fell on the hundredth position after all the a grade and b grade actors left. Though they paid cancellation fees that provide good funds. All were invested in training newbies but none of them had brought good profit.
It was like an endless well now. No matter how much money he threw in it, there was no result. And then his beverage company. That was his most profitable company but from the past two months. It was suffering from constant inspections. He had personally checked the whole process yet the rumors like dead cockroaches and insects in his beverage were never ending.
