Alric walked with two cups of coffee in his hand. He passed one to Nora. he had thought she would be joyous or at least relieved after reading the news but her silence was gnawing at his chest now.
Nora smiled and took a cup of coffee from him. He watched the news until she turned to look at him. Their eyes met and he noticed the strange fear again. It unsettled him too.
"Did you find my uncle?" Alric shook his head.
"My men are looking. He would be found soon. He had so many properties on his name. The school is already complaining and so at the blue corn company. If he did not return, he would be doomed." Alric’s comment only put her more at unease.
