Chapter 282: I Like You
"You have imagined me walking in a torn dress while living in a dark and small room?" looking at her raised brow, Victor flushed. If only he had seen her old room!
"Victor! Trusting me is your choice. I will not explain the details of my room." she looked into his eyes.
"And I thought you were here to congratulate me for my success." Victor felt wronged. She was the one ignoring him completely. She did not pick up his calls at all. She did not invite him to a celebratory dinner and she did not tell him everything.
Victor took a deep breath to suppress all those complaints. It had been weeks since they last saw each other.
"Congratulations." he pulled in his arms, "i have missed you a lot. How have you been." Victor rubbed his face on her soft hair.
He had missed the feeling of having her in his arms. Everything seems much better now.
Nora let go of the stifling feeling in her heart as she leaned on him. But she did not feel the warmth she was expecting. There was a strange void in her heart that seemed to gnaw her chest.
"I did well. How have you been?"
"Oh, the course is almost finished. I joined the office for winter vacation. Now I am working as an assistant manager and developer of the game you have designed. I have brought this for you, too." He took out a check and passed it to Nora.
