Chapter 279: She is Sick
"Sir! Madam and Master are not at home. We can not allow you inside." The maids looked at a loss as they stared at the cold man with the intimidating aura.
They remembered him vividly. Six months ago, he visited them with a doctor and took Nora away.
Master and mistress have been furious since then. It had taken them a lot of effort to bring Nora back. They would go crazy if they found out that Nora had left again with this man.
Even though the maid did not have the power, she fought with her life.
"You can return once the master comes back. Or you can leave a number. I will ask him to call you back. But I can not let intruders inside in his absence. Please be reasonable, sir. I will lose my job." In the end, she cried. Her voice was teary and she looked like she would die if he entered their house.
Any gentleman would hesitate. Once Alric would leave, she would inform the master and madam about him. They could handle the rest.
"Please!" her lips quivered and she bit them hard looking anxious.
Alric only stared at her with a gaze that could kill. His eyes were so cold and dark that no warmth or respect could be felt in them.
"If you are not going to lose your job because Nora is sick and yet you did not take care of her. Why should I care if you lose your job because of me? You do not deserve this job anyway." The maid was stunned. She still blocked the way but Alric was already in.
