"You are good to go!" Max smiled at Nora as he checked her reports and signed the discharge papers. But he did not pass them to the nurse immediately. He stared at her and only when she nodded slightly, did he let go of the papers.
The nurse left after receiving the papers, leaving both of them alone in the room.
"Nora, not only your new, but your old wound is also healing too well." he took her left hand and slowly stretched it. She followed his unsaid instructions and moved her hands earning an approving nod from him.
But his face still looked gloomy and worried.
"But if your family is still targeting you, then you can inform me. I am sure our hospital will help you with mental abuse too. Alric had recently upgraded the list of patients that could ask for help from the fund." Nora stiffened at his name. The man.. She had waited for him for three days. But he did not return. She was not sure if she had to follow Alex or her job was done here.
But her stiffening was misunderstood. She had requested him to let her stay for three more days. Was someone following her? Was this an accident or someone was targeting her?
Except Alric and his family, no one knew that Alex and her accident were related. They only knew that Alex was found unconscious in the racing ground and his friends informed Alric.
Nora was attacked while she was going out. Looking at his worried eyes, she knew that he had misunderstood just like Victor. Normally, she would be floating but now, she could only shake her head.
"I have not been in their contact. I am living in the dorms. My school had strict rules and I was not sure if I could follow them with my injuries. That is why I wanted to stay here. Thank you, Dr Sullivan for taking my care. You are more like a family to me." a burst of warmth appeared on his face and his face relaxed.
