Chapter 156: The Game Is On!
He did not love her, he loved the game and the one who made it! He loved his future self! The thought plagued her mind and she could hardly concentrate on his words. Her first date of her two lifetimes went just like that!
"You seem tired." he played with her fingers as they finished their dinner. "Still thinking about the game? I will have a few ideas if you are ready to make changes."
"What else do you like in me except the game?" he blinked and then laughed.
"Oh dear, do you think I only like you because of your game." he raised a brow and when she did not reply, he laughed. "Then I have to prove with my actions that it is not the case." He walked closer to her and kissed her nape.
"I like your strong spirit. I like how you never accept defeat. I feel thrilled by your smiles and sad when you are upset. How you have struggled so far, yet you are not tainted at all. I love everything about you, Nora." he rubbed her arms lovingly as he leaned into her arms.
Nora closed her eyes and enjoyed the touch. The warmth of his skin slowly faded her fears.
"Even if the game had drawn me toward you. There is so much in you than just a game. I only want it to work because you have invested so much in it. Or else,I would have asked you to give up on it already. Langdon is a tough nut to crack. But we will think about it later." She nodded. She would find a way.
"For now, we should return to the dorms. Miss Megan does not like me already. She would create a scene if she learnt that I was with you." he sighed but nodded reluctantly.
He held her hands all the way to their school as they talked about random things like school, upcoming exams, Nora and Penny.
