Chapter 148: Her First Proposal!
"Of course, tell everyone Nora who are you dating? Is it Victor or Alex? They both want to know the answer too." Nora looked at Alex. he was staring at her coldly. But his eyes flickered slightly.
Victor was already staring at her this whole time. He was waiting for her reply too.
"I am working for Victor’s father. I am designing a game for him. And Victor is my manager. Working together, we have developed a good friendship. That’s all." Victor’s eyes dimmed but he did not stop looking at Nora. he knew he had not expressed himself well and Nora did not know about his feelings. "And as for Alex, he is my friend’s friend. He had offered me support so many times. He had been kind to me and took me under his wings. You say that he is aloof. But you are wrong. I have seen him being kind toward all of his friends. He did not show it, but he had helped all of them with everything he had. I am sure he would come to protect them if they need help but they are too strong for needing any." she sighed, "it looks like i am the only weak friend he had."
Mike snickered and stood up. He pushed the table hard to create noise.
"What is your problem Penny? Nora had not said a word against you even when you had injured her. Could you not stop targeting her even for a day? Or are you that jealous?" Penny flinched. She glared at Mike.
"Mike, it is not about you. Why are you taking her side? Do not tell me that you also.." she did not continue but looked at Alisha with pity. Alisha paused. She looked at Penny and then at Mike. his eyes had widened and he looked horrified by the statement.
"Alisha, that is not true." he spoke hurriedly when Alisha’s brows furrowed and she frowned.
"Of course, that is not true. We have been together for so long. Do you think I am a fool to believe a liar." she snorted, "do not pay attention to her. She just could not handle that Nora is gaining more attention than her." she smiled at Mike who relaxed.
He glared at Penny before sitting on his seat and started working again. Many looked at Penny with pity or snickers. Penny’s eyes burnt. She had never been this insulting in her life.
