Chapter 139: Still Confident
"How is she still so confident?" Emma looked at the stage with a frown. They took corner seats and did not speak a word from the start to the end. Even when the crowd was slandering Penny. Nora or Emma didn’t move. Many forgot about their presence in excitement. A few of them remembered and glared at them, but stopped when they did not get any reaction.
Nora was only staring at the stage as if she could not see anything else. Her eyes were glued on the question to the limit that even Emma frowned.
And now that penny had returned, Nora was only staring at the young girl. The way Penny smiled was enchanting. Penny was a beautiful girl with a voluptuous body. Many liked her. She had received many proposals but she had always refused them. Telling them that her goal was to be in the merit list and secure a good university. She would not date until she reached it.
Who did not want a perfect lover, many had admired her and told her that they would wait for her.
The way she had handled the situation had made them sigh and feel bad for her.
"She is already so kind yet people did not stop bullying her." a boy sitting behind Nora cursed. His voice was not loud but many had heard it.
People had their doubts. But they did not diss Penny openly. After all, they have no reason to. The face was not shown too. So, they did not want to ruin their relationship with her.
What the sisters did to each other had nothing to do with them. But Penny had everything: name, fame, image and brains. Why did she need to ruin Nora who had nothing.
Nora was nothing more than a shooting star in their eyes. Her fame would not stay for a long time. Because she did not have a good foundation in study and resources to continue it. Even if she got admission in a top university? Did she have money to live there and continue her study? All she had was Penny’s family to support her but she had ruined her relationship with them. They did not even feel pity for such a stupid girl.
