Chapter 129: A Big Show
Penny looked around and easily found Emma in the cafe. She pulled her scarf closer trying her best to hide her face. Though this cafe was far from her school, she couldn’t take the chance.
She had worn a turtle neck olive top with black jeans and sneakers. It had covered her whole body and the scarf had hidden her face.
"Emma!" she smiled at the girl as she sat in front of her. Her fingers were already holding the record button on her phone. She would just cut a bit here and there and twist the truth for the future if this treacherous girl was playing a trick.
"Penny! I thought you were not coming anymore." Emma bit the straw of her drink and took a sip. The noise she created for it irked penny. Such a tacky girl with no elegance or charm. How could she hold so much power in the school? But she hid her disgust under a charming smile.
"I would have never believed that you would like me." Penny started with flattery and smiles but Emma just snorted.
"Good! Because this is not true." the smile on Penny’s face froze. But then she laughed.
"See! You are full of dark humor. Who would believe that you want to be friends with me." though Penny said so. She was already looking at Emma with a calculating gaze.
Emma rolled her eyes at her dramatic acting and took another noisy sip of her drink. Noticing Penny, a waiter came forward but Penny shook her head.
She would rather stay hungry than sharing a meal with this foolish girl.
