Chapter 103: Never Be Friends Again
"There is.. Something." Nora hesitated. A hole burning in her pockets. If she crossed this path, she and Alex could never be friends. She would not deserve to be one. But for some reason, his reaction was too strange when she wanted to taste that food.
"I have something for you. Can we meet." Alric went silent on the other side. The girl ignored him like he was cursed. Now she was asking him to meet her! His grip on the phone tightened instinctively.
"You have a check up due in the hospital tomorrow." Nora’s jaw tightened.
"I will meet you today."
"..... i will be waiting for you in the same spot then." It was risky. Too risky! Anyone could see them there and then Alex would know. But if the food goes stale, there would be nothing to check. She had already wasted a day.
"About the dorm staff!" Nora hesitated. As if the man could hear her troubles from the other side. His voice was gloomy and complex.
"No one would stop you, Nora. But it should be worth the trouble." she stiffened and closed her eyes.
For a second only her breath was heard by Alric.
"I understand." he cut the call. Perhaps he had already left to meet her. She went to her room and fetched the small bag she had taken to Victor’s house. She opened the front chain and took out a tissue in which a foul -smelling spring roll was packed. She placed it in her pocket and went out.
