Chapter 93: Expelled From The School
The lights were already off as she returned late. When she was going to enter her room, she heard all of them whispering. So she held the door but did not enter at once.
"Don’t ask me!" a voice came, a bit fearful. "I have not taken the dress she had brought but you."
"I thought it was my birthday gift. I have gifted her a box of chocolates too." though she said so. Her voice was quivering and sounded tearful. "What if I was dragged in it?" Nora frowned. She knew they were talking about Penny. But why were they so afraid?
"Should we change the rooms? Then we would be free of these arguments." Suggested the first girl again but the other only cried harder.
Nora stood there contemplating if she should walk in or stay there.
"I have decided. I could not let her use me all the time. I will confirm. As long as I pass the slip, would she let me go?" Nora’s eyes narrowed, her eyes were icy and full of hatred.
"But.." Nora took a step back and coughed. The voices faded instantly. When she opened the door and entered, the girls were already fast asleep. Her lips curled up in the darkness. She washed her face and went to sleep too.
The next morning, the school was hustling with more and more students. The libraries were filled and a long line of students were waiting in the staff room to get more pointers. Many students were nervous about their performance and the complexity of the exam.
Their nervousness showed on their faces. They keep asking questions to the limit that a few of them were foolish doubts.
