Chapter 91: Why Are You Refusing It?
"A gentleman should not insult the lady no matter what." a strong masculine voice filled the hallways. While Alex was still a young man, Benarad was an exceptional man.
His magnetic voice suited his curled lips. He gave a refined aura of a man. Penny’s head snapped toward Benard, two hot tears filling her eyes, threatening to fall any second but she bit her lips and endured. She looked like a girl bullied by a ruffian. She did not walk toward Benrad, but it was clear on her face that she was relieved he was here. His presence gives her comfort but at the same time she was embarrassed to show him this side of hers.
"It is nothing much. We all are just classmates and Alex is angry over a small misunderstanding between me and my sister." she explained in a faint voice as if it was hard for her to control her tears. But she could not badmouth others.
But inside her heart, she sneered. If Nora thought that she would use the same trick against her twice, then she was a fool. This time she would act better and teach Nora a lesson that she could only be her shadow. She was sure that Alex would create a scene after hearing her. Not only Alex would be rebuked but Nora would leave her image too. But the reply she was waiting for did not come.
She turned to look at Benard only to see that he was staring at Nora. his eyes had a strange gleam.
"So this is your sister. The one your mother had praised that fateful night." Nora was no longer acting. She could handle the presence of her uncle and Aunt since they have only killed her but Benard. He had tormented her for a decade. A long decade! The fear was embedded in her bones.
Her body started to shiver uncontrollably as she noticed his eyes. He was looking at her like a beast looking at his prey.
"Nora!" she felt a warm hand holding her and she held it back like a drowning man held the last straw.
Alex frowned when her nails dug deep into his skin. He was still staring at the man who looked confused now.
"You look scared, miss." Benard spoke softly. The voice could have melted hearts but it only left goosebumps on her skin. She was scared and Benard did not understand why?! He was a charismatic man. Women love him, fawn over him. Even after getting divorced twice, everyone only blamed his wife for being insensitive and gold diggers.
They were accused to divorce him for getting his money. And more than a hundred women wanted to marry him. If not for this sexy and willing girl, he would have dated a celebrity. But dating a young naive girl was refreshing. It made him forget his age. But this young girl... she was far better than Penny. The curves she had! He wondered how it would feel to hold her. Would she be scared further and cry?
