Chapter 69: That Vicious Girl!
Nora’s eyes sparkled at once. She stood up at once and held his hand.
"Of course, I would love to." She had expected that it would take a week to get a reply from him.
A few looked dumbfounded at their conversation. Alex was one of them, his eyes widened and then narrowed at Victor.
"Great! Then I will apply for leave for this weekend. You can spend the weekend at our house. I have invited a few other friends too so you would not feel bored." his eyes flickered when he noticed their clasped hands.
"... alright!" Nora did not understand why he would invite her but she believed it was related to work. Perhaps, they need some time to question her before signing the deal. It would be better this way. She had a feeling that her uncle would invite her for this weekend. So going with Victor would be better.
"Then I will text you the details later and wait for you at the main street." he left with an excited smile on his face that brightened her mood too. She looked at the piece of paper in her hands with a smile she could not hide. In this life, she would be richer than her uncle. But Benard? Would she let go of him that easily? That man...! Her eyes went cold again as she thought of him.
She picked up her phone and left the class. Only then did Alex stood up and walked to her desk. She had already torn the page she had written on but she had used so much pressure that remnants could be seen on the next page. Alex tore it and walked back to his seat.
He took out the pencil and sketched over it. But he frowned when he noticed the names of companies on the page. His eyes went dark. Many noticed what he had done and exchanged glances. Everyone had already noticed how Victor favored Nora and now Alex was taking care of that girl too. Could it be that there is going to be a love triangle in their class?
That also with Nora? Many girls felt jealous since Nora had nothing. She is only an orphan with no money or status. Yet, she had easily thrown the school’s belle from her position with some vicious accusations and now she was getting attention from both men.
Not everyone believed that Penny had hurt Nora. it must be her way of blackmailing her aunt and uncle for better resources.
"If we do not teach her a lesson now, she would think that the whole class belongs to her." a girl spat through gritted teeth as she tore her test papers with hatred and jealousy in her eyes.
Many girls nodded behind her. They were full of envy.
