Chapter 79: Darkness? They have to face it!
"How did your husband know about this matter?" He asked her softly.
She shook her head, "I don’t know either. The next day after we met, we both went to the restaurant you recommended. I saw you in the parking lot there. That was when my husband saw you and said that he knew something and wanted to warn you. So, I went to the cemetery to find your details and then he called you."
She did not withhold any information and explained everything to him clearly in case he would misunderstand something.
She then continued, "Also, please don’t blame the person in charge of the cemetery. I used too many tricks to get your information out of him. If you blame him, I will feel guilty."
Merlin looked at the tab in his hands. The screen showed Helena’s cheeky smile on the CCTV camera. He could already guess she was doing some acts to get the information from the person in charge.
He laughed out loud, "Fine. Fine. I won’t blame him. Happy? But just because your husband said that he wanted to warn me, you did everything for him? Didn’t you doubt that he would do something to me because he doubted our relationship or something like that? You trusted him so much?"
Helena blinked her eyes. She was calm for a second. She never thought of something like that at all.
After a few seconds, she shook her head and chuckled, "No way. Vernon is never an insecure person. If he had any problem with me interacting with you, he would say it to my face directly instead of going behind my back and doing something to you.
"And trust? Of course, I trust him. I married him for a reason after all. If I couldn’t even trust him this much, why would I marry him?"
Merlin heard her words and laughed softly, "Hmm... that’s a valid point. I am happy that you married a man you can trust so much."
Helena smiled, "Thank you." She could feel that he was genuinely happy for her and thus thanked him sincerely.
