Chapter 17: Game? No!
"Who is that?"
"Helena," Tristan replied.
"Put it on speaker," Vernon ordered with his raised eyebrow.
"Hello?" Tristan put the phone on speaker and answered. He looked nervous for some reason.
"Tristan? It’s me, Helena," Helena’s voice came from the phone.
"Yeah, I know. I have your number with me. Do you need something from me?" Tristan asked.
"I want to meet you. When are you free?" Helena did not waste too much time and went directly to the topic.
"Huh? You want to meet me? Why?" As he nervously asked that, he raised his head to look at his friend’s face.
Even if they were friends, a woman and a man meeting behind the husband’s back seemed dubious. Tristan was worried that Vernon would doubt the relationship between him and Helena.
Thankfully, when he saw Vernon’s face, it wasn’t as dark as he expected. He just frowned, showing his curiosity for her call and the meeting.
Tristan sighed in relief. As long as his good buddy did not doubt his intentions towards his wife, everything was fine.
