My Cold-Hearted Husband Wants Me Back

Chapter 93: Half Sibling

Regina’s eyes narrowed, her glare sharp and cutting as she surveyed the crowd gathered in front of the main entrance. "Do you want me to sue you all for disturbing my peace?" Her voice was low, but laced with undeniable authority.

She turned her gaze around, her annoyance growing with every second. "Where is all the security?! What is your salary for?!"

The crowd fell silent, some reporters visibly shrinking under Regina’s piercing gaze, while security scrambled to regain control.

"And you..." Regina’s eyes locked onto Eloise with icy precision. "Who do you think you are, speaking about my daughter-in-law?" She stepped forward, her presence commanding attention. "You were never even in her league. I chose her for my son, and you, since when did Eryx ever say he was going to get engaged to someone like you? A woman of your... caliber?"

Regina’s gaze never wavered, her posture straight and unyielding, as Eloise tried to regain some semblance of composure.

"I— I," Eloise stammered, stepping back instinctively. "Well, Mr. Grantham did meet my father and expressed his interest in me," she said, lifting her chin, attempting to restore her confidence. "I was just stating the facts."

Regina let out a soft, almost mocking laugh, her gaze never wavering from Eloise’s face. "The facts?" she repeated, her voice oozing with sarcasm. "Is that what you call these pathetic lies of yours?"

Eloise tried to respond, but Regina’s icy stare silenced her. Turning sharply, she spoke with deadly calm, her voice like a whip. "You’d better clean up this mess, or I will personally have every single one of you thrown into jail. The same place..." She paused, letting the silence stretch, before glaring at Eloise, "Eryx had your father sent to. Do you want to join him?"

Eloise stumbled back, her finger trembling as she pointed at Regina. "Do you hear that?!" she shouted. "The Granthams did this! My father is innocent! He did nothing wrong, but just because they have power, they sent someone like my father to jail!"

Regina remained unmoved, her expression cold and calculating. "You’d better watch your words," she warned, her voice low and dangerous. "Your father’s actions aren’t as innocent as you make them sound. If you keep this up, you’ll find yourself in an even worse situation than he ever was."

Eloise’s face flushed with anger, but she remained on her place. The reporters, sensing the tension, held their breath, unsure whether to speak or wait for the storm to pass.
