Chapter 73: NOAH’S HOPE AND DESIRES
"What do you, Mr Lancaster?"
"I am in the security industry, Mr Henley." Dante replied to which Noah nodded his head politely.
"And I have appointed Dante as Dove’s personal bodyguard. We will be taking charge from tomorrow." The next second Senior Sterling announced, which made Noah freeze in his spot. He turned to look at Senior Sterling and asked with a small frown, "But Grandpa, w- what is the need for that?"
Senior Sterling nodded his head and said, "There is a need Noah. Dove will be joining and taking over the company from tomorrow." To which, Noah agreed, yet asked in confusion, "Yes, but we have enough and capable security system at the company. A group is also always deployed for the important members, Grandpa. Beside we also have our own security team for the family."
Senior Sterling smiled and answered, "I know that, Noah. But Dove needs a personal bodyguard as well. After all, she is not only in dangers of the external factors but also in danger in the family. Haven’t you heard and seen what Jacob was up to today? Moreover, we have already discussed it with Dante and Dove. And Dove she herself feels that it is a good idea."
Dove blinked her eyes hearing Senior Sterling say that, and thought to herself. ’Huh? I did not say it was a good idea. But uh, well, I agreed to Grandpa as well.’ She did not say anything but just pressed her lips together.
And when Noah heard him say that, Noah had nothing to object any longer. Since, Dove herself had agreed to it, what could he possibly say in this. And even if he did not agree to it, he couldn’t possibly say it out loud given that he and Dove did not have that close of a relationship to be interfering with her decisions. Because even if Dove had just talked to him politely, he knew it better to not push the limits of his luck.
He just smiled and took a glance at Dante. And there it was again, that salty feeling in his heart. Noah, he used to never like Dove showing interest in some other guys, or any guy showing interest on Dove. He used to hate it, and the jealousy he felt with it. That is why he made sure that no boy got too unnecessarily close to Dove. HE sometimes even used to bad mouth some of them in front of her, like for Roan, to make sure that she sees him the most reliable to come to when ever she needs help.
But then, when he realised his emotions for her, and he started distancing away from her, he stopped doing all of these. Though, he would still try to keep boy away from her, but no longer tried to prove himself to her.
