Chapter 45: DOESN’T HAVE A FATHER
Dove waited for her grandfather to say something, while looking at him. She wanted to show him that she was very serious about this decision and had made up her mind. But before Senior Sterling could even say anything, it was Noah who burst out. "Dove! What’s the meaning of this?!"
And at this sudden outburst, they all turned their attention to Noah, who stood there glaring at Dove with her hands turned into fist. Dove frowned looking at Noah, since he wouldn’t normally create any chaos or even speak something no matter what good or bad happens to her. Just like how she had said that she had slept with someone. He had just sarcastically congratulated her on that. What is he up to? She wondered with a frown.
Even Freya, who wasn’t pleased to listen Dove break that news, as she was worried about their status and the unpleasant news that would be spread now in the society, and how she could face her friends. She also looked at Noah with a frown, wondering why her son was jumping into it.
Noah walked up to Dove as he took the pregnancy report from her hand and said, "Is this why you had gone to the hospital? This big thing happened and you did not even bother telling me yesterday when I asked you?" Dove who had a calm expression on her face. She said with the same indifference, "And why? Why should I have told you? When I am telling my grandfather only now, why would I have told you that earlier? Do you think you are so important to me? Since when did you assume that I would come to you running with my issues?"
Noah gritted her teeth, as he looked at Dove, not be able to tell her a word about it. "Dove! We are not talking about that, alright! But you. can’t. have. this. Child!" he raised his voice at her.
But Dove who suddenly felt defensive mode when he yelled that to her and he yelled back, "And why can’t I?!" At this the other servants and Freya and Senior Sterling were also a bit shocked. "Because you are just eighteen! You are still very young to have a kid!" Noah yelled back.
"It’s my kid! And I get to choose if I will keep it or not!" Dove yelled back. "I am my own person! I maintain my own affairs! I make my own money! I can definitely raise my kid on my own too!" Dove said with gritting teeth!
"But the kid doesn’t have a father!" Noah said with his teeth seething! And the next second, a sharp sound was heard. PAAK!
"Dove!" Freya exclaimed in disbelief looking at her slapping her son.
