Chapter 133: Gained an ally
"Back!" Fil returned to the living area with a big smile on her face and a tray in her hands. "Kenzo, there’s already food in the kitchen. All you have to do is eat it. Goodness. You’ll drive your brother insane at this point."
Fil happily put down the tray, looking at Kenzo and then at Marcus. "You guys didn’t fight, did you?"
"No. Kenzo was just telling me what happened during his date with my sister," Marcus joked, casting Kenzo a playful look. "And I’m just about to tell him how sorry I was he had to put up with her for an entire dinner."
"Oh." Fil nodded as she slowly sat down beside Kenzo. "Right. That almost slipped my mind. Kenzo and your sister went on a blind date!"
"It’s no big deal. It happens." Marcus shrugged, watching her transfer the plates on the table from the tray. "You’re going to feed him?"
"No, she will not." Kenzo cleared his throat and rolled his eyes. "Before you get jealous, what she’s doing is preparing everything, so all I have to do is feed myself."
"He’s a headache." Fil playfully remarked. "I also sometimes wonder why we’re friends."
"After drinking my meds, are you going to leave me alone?" Kenzo rested his arm on his leg as he reached out for the plate. Leaning back, he cast her a look. "I still think you two are dating, which is still strange. Makes me realize how small this world is."
"If you have the time to be concerned about my dating life, why not use it to take care of yourself?" Fil sighed, resting her back on the couch. "Your brother will replace me soon. So even if we leave, someone else will monitor you."
