Chapter 132: Will do anything for her
Fil had to admit Marcus was full of surprises. Not only did he unknowingly throw her off because of his different approach, but he was genuinely aware of every little detail. Fil thought Marcus was nothing but a coward who couldn’t outshine Vincent.
But it seemed even that was intentional.
Marcus and Fil traveled to where Kenzo was staying, engaging in any topic they could talk about. The more they talked, the more natural their conversation became. Surprisingly, Marcus still maintained a playful yet respectful stand. He didn’t bring up any subject that could cause awkwardness between them. Before they knew it, they had already arrived at Kenzo’s brother’s place.
Sitting on the couch, Kenzo darted his eyes between the two people sitting across from him.
’They really came together,’ he thought, rendered speechless even though she gave him a heads up. ’And now, this is awkward.’
"Fil told me you hate flowers, but I already bought one before she did," Marcus broke the building silence in the room. "Next time, I’ll ask her what you want first before purchasing anything."
Kenzo glanced down at the basket of flowers on the coffee table before lifting his eyes to Marcus. The latter was smiling kindly, which was the stark contrast to his attitude the night before.
’I hope she’s not falling for this,’ he mentally sighed, knowing Fil had this gullible side of her.
Kenzo sipped from the straw and lazily chewed the mouthful of tapiocas in his drink. "This is awkward," he pointed out. "So, are we just going to stare at each other?"
"What do you mean, to stare at each other?" Fil remarked as she took out the papers on the table between them. "You have to drink your meds in half an hour. Did you eat already?"
"I did... have breakfast."
