Chapter 241. Sunshine Base
"Anna?" Lucy’s voice came from the phone.
"I’m fine. I’m just wondering about the situation in other base," Anna quickly replied.
"What could happen? Many of their leaders are now sick and might not be able to survive...." Lucy paused for a moment. "More than 10 people had died in the hospital alone in the past few hours. Their fever burned so badly and finally they couldn’t stand it and died."
Anna fell silence. "My condolences."
"I can only pray that Mark will be fine," Lucy said quietly and sighed deeply.
"Yes."
"Oh, the doctor is here. I’ll call you back later."
"Ok."
The call was cut off and Anna looked at the phone in front of her. For a moment, she wondered what was going on with her so called father and the others. But this thought only passed for a moment before it was gone again.
No matter whether they were still alive or dead, it had nothing to do with her. She didn’t want to have any connection whatsoever with them again in this life.
Anna put her phone away and continued to sit not far from Dylan, checking his temperature from time to time. She also changed the compress when it was no longer cool, hoping to reduce Dylan’s temperature.
