Chapter 154: [Parallel World] One Night in The Bar (1)
Note: The Parallel World series happened in a parallel universe; the plot and settings are completely unrelated to the previous story. This Yuka is still the famous "Vase."
As Kenji’s thoughts drifted into the distant future, the sound of his opticomputer brought him back to the present. Opening it again, this time it wasn’t General Fleet Admiral, but a message from the pheromone matching center.
Given the rarity of a 100% pheromone match, the center had sent a message asking him to meet with the alpha. If they truly felt no connection and were incompatible, then so be it.
Kenji thought it best not to meet her.
He had his undercover mission at the underground bar that night, and no time thereafter. Decisively, he declined the pheromone matching center’s suggestion.
On the other side, Yuka opened her opticomputer and saw the message from the pheromone matching center. After pondering for a couple of seconds, she too declined the suggestion.
She had heard that Morris, a senior in his second year, had rebelliously given up his position as the heir to the Horn ruling family. He expressed a desire to become a wandering poet, spreading his songs of praise across every corner of the Alliance.
To celebrate his departure from the Horn family, he was hosting a grand party at an underground bar that night, and students from the combat department across all years were invited.
Ayoi and Alex were eager to see what the legendary Morris was like, and Yuka was also curious. She decided to join the party that evening. Expecting the celebration to last all night, she planned to sleep in the next day to recover, leaving her no time to meet Admiral Kuba.
Besides, she assumed he probably didn’t want to see her anyway.
In the underground bar, the loud music and alcohol fogged people’s minds. In the center of the dance floor, dancers swayed with the music, embracing others, unaware if they were alpha or beta, wildly shaking their heads.
