Chapter 153: [Parallel World] Perfect Match

The Imperial Alliance of the Stars had recently made big news.
It was said that Admiral Kenji Kuba of the Alliance Army, who was about to become the next General Fleet Admiral and known for his cold, unfeeling character, actually had a perfect pheromone match with Taira Yuka, the spoiled daughter of the wealthiest family in the universe.
The Alliance didn’t force arranged marriages anymore, however, with such a high compatibility—a 100% match, everyone thought that it would be a waste if the two didn’t end up together.
Also, their names would always be linked in the public’s mind. Mention one, and they’d inevitably think of the other, even if they didn’t marry and found different partners.
After the complete extinction of the insectoids, the number of humans with strong mental or physical abilities had increased. People had started classifying these three types: those with great physical strength but weaker psychic abilities as "alphas", and those with stronger psychic abilities as "betas"; and there were omegas, basically like normal people.
Admiral Kuba Kenji was a beta, and an idol for many. He had proved that even betas, often seen as physically weak, could be iron-blooded admirals, defeat enemies, and overcome alphas who looked down on them.
Taira Yuka, although born into the wealthiest family and the sole daughter of the tycoon Taira Hideki, was an alpha with a delicate face often mistaken for a beta’s. But everyone knew she was bad at school, a standard spoiled child, looked down upon by most beta.
As people watched the drama unfold, some said these two would never be together, let alone getting married.
Yuka’s friend Ayoi was reading the latest news on her opticomputer. When she read the bad comments about Kenji and Yuka, she rolled her eyes.
"How can they say that?" Ayoi said, clearly upset.
