Chapter 146: Time To The End
Yuka controlled the use of her psychic power to avoid entering a frenzied state. She transformed her mechanical arm into a chained hammer. Although the chain wasn’t as long as the one the butler transformed into, it was enough for her to fend off the insectoids in front of her, charging full speed towards the Queen.
Faint light filtered through the cracks in the soil, but the underground was still very dark. Yuka gazed at the flesh mountain before her, vaguely recalling how, in her past life in the Martial World, she faced an overwhelmingly powerful body with a determination to die with her.
The closer she got to the Queen, the more newly hatched insect eggs appeared under her feet.
Yuka drove her mecha over them. The Queen, shocked and furious at seeing its offspring killed, commanded all the surviving insectoids to stop Yuka from reaching her!
Yuka swung the meteor hammer transformed from her right mechanical arm. The spinning spikes of the hammer in the air formed an impregnable defensive wall around her. Any insectoid that tried to approach was mercilessly knocked away.
More and more insectoids began to swarm Yuka. She felt her strength draining rapidly, her vision blurring. The aftereffects of using too much psychic power were kicking in, and the dull pain in her brain made it hard to focus.
Unconsciously, her attacks slowed down. The Queen continuously laid eggs, and countless insectoids, still larvae but in huge numbers, emerged and rushed towards Yuka.
’This is bad,’ Yuka thought.
Her psychic power could no longer sustain her control over the mecha, now just a heap of scrap metal.
The mecha’s mechanical legs began to crumble. As the mecha tilted, the parasites that had been clinging to her leg seized the opportunity to burrow into her mecha. Their spikes extended from the suckers in their abdomen, ready to feed on the human pilot inside.
