Chapter 175: Safe At Last
The EMT tried to get her to consciousness and Rory opened her eyes. He was asking her where she hurts as he checked her vitals.
"Lennon is the killer... My husband is..." Rory tried to speak. But she couldn’t stay awake. She was in so much pain and once again she closed her eyes.
Although she closed her eyes, she could hear everything around her. She wanted to open her eyes. She still couldn’t believe if this is all real or not.
What if they are not cops? What if Jake enacted a drama?
"Phone call..."
Rory said opening her eyes. She looked around and she was getting loaded inside an ambulance. She had lost time and she started to panic.
"Where are you taking me?" she struggled. The EMTs tried to hold her back. But she was not having it. The EMTs in the vehicle tried to hold her hands and she struggled hard to get free. "Let me go!" She screamed. "Where’s Derick? Let me speak to Derick Roberts! You cannot unlawfully take me!" she screamed whatever came to her mind.
The EMTs tried to calm her down saying that they are taking her to the hospital.
The camera crew of the news channel who were recording caught her screams and they ran at her. The agent who was near Rory saw that and he intervened.
"Miss Roberts, you are safe. We are taking you to the hospital to treat you. The suspect is apprehended and taken into custody. You have no need to panic. Listen to me~"
"I want to make a call!" Rory shouted. She feared that they would take her and lock her inside along with Liam. Then who will take care of Ellie?
There is only one person she knew who could help her and the one she could trust. It is Derick.
