Chapter 44: Caring For His Happiness
"And that fat boy too... He didn’t jump at me. Did they go on a vacation leaving my dad?" Liam asked. "Hmpf! That woman sure is selfish, right? Just because she got married to a rich man, she thinks that she can spend it all on herself and that fatty will waste all the money on food alone. My dad is stupid to keep them~"
She could not bear hearing Liam talk bad about Claire as if he knows what she thinks. Claire has proved time and time again how much she loves Frank and this family.
It is preposterous that Liam cannot see it! Or he just doesn’t care! How can he be like this?
When she is with them, she would put a leash on Liam. Even then, he would hurt Claire and his dad occasionally. After she leaves for her homeland, how much will he hurt his family?
She was terrified!
He has a lovely father who cares so much for him and yet he cannot be happy for him and accept his family. If Liam is acting brash and boorish with the people who love him, what will happen when they give up on him?
Already Claire started to hide from Liam, and what if his father ignores him altogether? Who will be left for Liam? There is uncle Lenny, but...he is not his immediate family!
And Allison... she’s a vampire; a vulture. He is rich already and he will only get richer. He won’t lack "friends" around him. But how many of them will be true friends? How many will love him for real? Can he differentiate the ones who are with him for his money?
Why can’t he see the love his family has for him and return it? They love him even when he is an ass with them. Why can’t he show them love? When his grandmother is getting old, why can’t he make her happy by spending time joyfully with his family?
When will he learn to talk with respect? When will he find happiness?
Rory worried for Liam. He is not going to be honest with her. But that doesn’t mean she cannot learn his heart by other means.
"She left your dad and took Chubster with her," Rory said without opening her eyes.
