Liam met with her eyes. With the fever and all her crying the entire day, her eyes looked puffy and her face looked pale. She wants answers which is acceptable. But he was not willing to talk to her about it.

The vibration in his phone came as a nice distraction. The only one who would bother to send messages at this time of the night would be "her". It was not necessary to reply immediately, but he didn’t want to interact with Rory now. He immediately picked up his phone.
Reading the received message, his heart started to pound. His fingers trembled as he searched for the right reply. Because he needs to be very careful about his interactions. It is possible he is being watched and his interactions will be made public in the future.

Rory saw him typing on the phone. She didn’t know who would send a message at this time of the night.

Rory with a wry smile walked to the crib. She saw that Ellie is starting to wake up. If she feeds and burps her when she is half awake, it would make her night a lot better.
Showing her back to Liam, she fed Ellie and burped her. As she was patting her, Rory pondered about a lot of things.
She was sure by now that Liam does not want to talk about the divorce. Because if he is willing to talk to her about it, he would have opened up by now. She has cried to him, asked him gently, and still, he is avoiding the question.
