Alexandra was overwhelmed seeing the pleading eyes of Maximus. This is the man who has stayed by her side and loves her for who she is. All her life, she has met a lot of people. She was feared than loved for her powers.
And in her previous life, she was a nobody. A nobody who wasn’t smart. But this is the man who stayed with the annoying she and loved her although she never understood him.
"What do you see in me, Max?" she asked placing her hand on his cheek.
"What?" He looked at her, confused by her question.
"You know who I am, right? When you told that man that I am the daughter of the Dragon King... How did you know that?" she asked. "I don’t remember ever telling you..."
[Even I didn’t remember it in my past life until very late...]
"That..." Maximus squinted his eyes and looked to the side. "I don’t know... But I just knew... It was..." he kissed her cheek as his hands traced over her collarbone. "I just know! And I saw you doing many great things although...I was not there at that time...I don’t care!"
"Huh..." Alexandra lied on her back and he adjusted himself to be in between her legs.
[Someone put those memories in him then... Was it Father who did it?]
"Lexa... Lexa..." Maximus kissed her neck."All I know is that I love you and that I want you... So be mine..."
Alexandra was moved by his words. As ever, he is the one who would treat her the way she wants to be treated – as an equal. And for him to desire her this much – she wanted him too.
