Chapter 457: We Made Him
With his shoes still wet from the snow outside, Chenglei went inside their courtyard that seemed awfully quiet for someplace where his wife is supposedly having a baby.
’If Xing is still in labour, her voice should be heard, if the baby is born already, the cries of the baby should be heard. Why is this awfully quiet?’
’Did something bad happen...?’
Hurrying his footsteps, he entered the building to see the entire place buzzing with activities and a thick stench of blood entered his nostrils making his scalp go numb. The maids were busy and he noted one of the maid bringing out a basin filled with... BLOOD?
Some other maids followed her carrying bloodied towels and other stuff making his heart almost stop.
"What happened?", Chenglei shouted and only then they noticed their master and they all fell on the floor kneeling.
Xiao Mei was the only one standing and she had a bundle in her hand.
"How is she?", he shouted at Xiao Mei and she bowed,
"Congratulations, your Highness, the Consort gave birth to a healthy Prince. The Consort is currently.... ", she approached him trying to show him the baby but Chenglei was in no mood to look at his son and dashed inside the bedroom, almost pushing Xiao Mei . If not for for Lin Mubai holding his wife, she’d have kissed the floor along with the baby in her hands.
"Is this...", Lin Mubai who wasn’t surprised by his Brother Wolf’s actions, looked at the bundle where a little baby pink as a plum blossom was kept. His brother won’t care about anything else until he takes a look at his Consort.
"Yes, a boy", Xiao Mei was all smiles when Lin Mubai got the baby.
"He looks exactly like Sister-in-law...", he smiled uncontrollably. Those Amber eyes, dark hair and that nose... He looks just like her.
