Chapter 451: Xinxin loves Mother
Spring passed and the hot summer fastly approached. This year they had conducted the court exams pretty early and so the season of new beginnings passed uneventfully with the new officials training in the Court.
Little Xinxin’s first birthday approached as he was born early summer. And also it was the first death anniversary of Tianshi Emperor.
Xing fanning herself was swaying in the swing Chenglei brought from the Light Wind Courtyard. She had prepared a Memorial Tablet for the greatest Emperor in their kingdom with her own hands. That’s the least she could do for him after she killed him herself and she knew he’d appreciate it too.
Xing had already buried his ashes in Empress Shu’s grave and she was surprised to see the grave being left unsealed for this long. She had already sealed the grave after doing the proper funeral ceremony for her Master Yuan.
But they really cannot suddenly announce the death anniversary of an Emperor who was supposed to be dead two centuries back and so they have planned to celebrate it privately placing the memorial tablet with the other tablets of other Emperors of their kingdom.
But by celebrating the death anniversary of Tsinshi Emperor, they should not avoid celebrating Little Xinxin’s first birthday too. One generation is always replaced by another and life should be celebrated.
Xiao Mei has just gave birth to a girl and was forced to rest for a couple of months before serving Xing again. Xiao Mei wasn’t pleased to let another maid serve her mistress but still she had to do what her mistress asked of her.
Little Xinxin who didn’t even sit properly for eight months has started to crawl and even started to walk holding something in the past three months. He really liked to wander around by himself and didn’t like to be carried anymore.
Xing smiled, waving her hand at little Xinxin who walked for sometime holding the table and taking a look at her. He liked to do search for her each time he did something. His eyes were shimmering with pride that he is showing his mother his achievement of walking. He’d walk around but he always wanted Xing at his eyesight. He never left her view.
Chenglei entered the room and with a smile in his face, kissed Xing first before searching for Little Xinxin. Upon seeing his father, little Xinxin got under the table and crawled deep inside to avoid him.
