Chapter 449: Unexpected Result
Chenglei gently placed his big, coarse hand on Xing’s cheek and his hand almost enveloped her entire face. She looked so serene and beautiful as she helped him undress.
"What?", she raised her eyebrows with a playful smile as she removed his outer robe. That’s when she felt something in his pocket and she found the pouch that she made for him.
"Chenglei!", her eyes widened and she smiled ear to ear.
"Where were did you find it?", she turned the pouch around and took a good look at it.
"This is the kerchief I embroidered for your birthday... I mentioned it before, right? I thought you threw it away. I didn’t know you made this abomination into a pouch... You stitched it yourself...? Well, what am I saying? You don’t remember, right?"
She kept on talking, looking at the pouch and opened it to look inside.
Chenglei didn’t say anything and just watched her. He just wanted to do that. She was always this way with him and he loved her for it.
He saw her expression getting sullen for a moment when she saw the lock of her golden hair.
"You placed our hair together? How sweet of you! I didn’t know about it. So you could be sentimental too, huh?", she smiled slightly, "My hair... It’s pretty, isn’t it? "
A pang of pain struck his heart. When she told him about their past, she didn’t tell him about why she cut her hair. But now he knew how much pain she must have been in to cut her hair.
Those days, she was not even trimming her hair just because she believed that would enable their life together without anymore hitches.
’She loved her hair and took care of it really well and just in a moment of deep frustration and heart break, she cut it off. All because I forgot her. I was cruel to her that day...
