Chapter 448: I’m Whole
The evening breeze blew gently bringing in the scent of jasmine that had opened up as the sun went down. Xing had imported this breed of jasmine that flourished in the Earth Kingdom since it was her mother’s favourite scent, as a birthday present for her father who would love anything related to her mother. She also felt her mother was by her side by that scent.
Xing who was sitting with the bowl in her hand didn’t feel hungry at all out of happiness but she stuffed some food inside since she herself felt a bit weak.
After she ate something and made sure her father ate too, she stood up to leave.
"Stay here for the night, Mingxia. I’ll send a letter to your Manor to bring the kids here", her father who was worried seeing her fainting told her.
From what she could guess, her father couldn’t guess what their family’s physician meant. Xing has never been treated by the Prime Minister’s personal physician before and if he said she is fine then it only means that her womb really is healed. But her father didn’t make the connections. And as much as Xing wanted to scream her happiness aloud, she wanted to tell Chenglei the good news first.
"No, father, I have plans with my husband", she grinned ear to ear making AoTian sigh.
This tactless daughter of mine! Should she be this open about her ’plans for the night’ with her husband? I’m her father!
"Ah! He is here", she ran to the door of the dining hall while AoTian screamed at her to be careful. Then or now, his daughter is like a horse with its blinds on and she only focuses on Chenglei.
AoTian followed her and that’s when the steward informed that Prince Jin just now entered the threshold. As usual, even when he is at the gates, she could sense him and she is running towards him.
Xing ran towards the gate and she saw her husband walking towards her and he was running towards her too.
"You’re back", she smiled and in the dim evening light, she couldn’t clearly see his eyes but without saying anything he scooped her up and kissed her.
Xing was surprised by his sudden act and wondered what he is doing as her heart pounded. He always held back a little in public and him acting this way, in her father’s home, surprised her.
