"Baobei!", Xing spoke in a rebuking tone, "How can you dirty the embroidery your mother handmade for me? Can’t you appreciate the hard work of your mother? "
Xing really loved Shurei and she always made Baobei remember that he is Shurei’s son even though that boy forgets it often. He never cares about his mother and always stuck to her.
Of course Baobei never gets scared of Xing but he just bowed his head, "I’m sorry, mummy!".
That same time, Chenglei entered her study and he was surprised to see the monkey boy with his head bowed.
"That’s a surprise!", he smirked. For some reason he found this little boy an eyesore and that boy didn’t like him either and both of them forgets their age and bumped their heads often when Xing does not notice.
Baobei knew he was being mocked for being reprimanded by his mother and he put on his cute smile and strutted towards Chenglei, "Uncle!", he hugged him with his hands dirtied with ink and Chenglei’s snow white robes were filled with patches of black in an instant spreading that darkness to his face too.
Chenglie knew this boy did it on purpose and seeing Xing so apologetic felt the need to be the bigger person and begrudgingly tried to forgive him.
"I’m sorry, uncle....", Baobei spoke with his sweet childish voice and his with his chin touching his chest as if he was deeply apologetic trying to pander to Xing.
