Chapter 325: Catch Me If You Can
Xing could feel the warm fingertips of the only man who could sway her heart like the grass by the riverside getting swayed in wind, on her face and he was as gentle as always when he removed the tie around her eye and the cloth slipped on her smooth face and fell on the floor.
He then leaned forward and Xing who could feel the warmth from his eyes winced and leaned back instinctively. But Chenglei didn’t back down as he leaned forward with his hand reaching her back where her hands are tied and the distance between their eyes and their lips reduced and Xing could sense his warm breath on her and a bunch of stray hair on her cheek swayed by that warm breath of his and the tips of his fingers trailed down her spine as it moved downward towards her hands behind and Xing could feel her entire body warm up by this intimacy with her man after a very long time and her eyes widened and her lips got reddened and her entire face was burning up.
Geez! Couldn’t he untie me from behind? Xing wondered and only then she realised she was not tied to begin with and just then Chenglei’s hands touched her hands and searched for the rope that is binding her, patting around her hand but couldn’t find it.
"Hmpf!", he snorted letting a burst of warm breath on her face and Xing almost moaned as she felt her lips were tingling with the warmth radiating from this intimacy.
Guess this woman got the better of him once again!
"Of course, you planned all this!", he said standing up and Xing felt relieved and saddened at the same time by his retreat. But she felt more sadness because she knew, if it was before, she’d be in his warm embrace by now.
"Hmm... Lord Li! What brings you here?", Xing grinned composing herself.
"Must you put yourself in danger to catch these men?", he was angry. "Not every time will be the same...",he glared at her and Xing could partially see the Chenglei who’d get mad at her for simar reasons too. Only partly because the distance between them now is simply a lot.
"What an annoying woman!", he murmured. He should feel happy that this woman would have been fine if he didn’t arrive but he was mad that she is risking her safety just for catching a bunch of thugs.

By that time all the thugs were captured by Chenglei’s subordinates and he asked them to take them to the local magistrate for their trial and punishment.
He took his kerchief from her pocket and started wiping her face that has splatters of blood amidst Xing’s protest of asking to wipe it by herself.
