Xing felt like she was sucked out of oxygen from her lungs by the merciless man above her refusing to let go of her lips. Even though they had kissed a lot of times before, this time it felt different as it looked like he was kissing her to prove a point. Her hands moved from her back to his chest as firm as a strong oak tree to try and push him back.
That’s when she felt it in his pockets something and she paused her hands to see what it is.
This isn’t a dagger and so what it is.....? Chenglei realised she had found the hairpin and stopped kissing her and placed his hand above her hand to stop her from getting that. His jumpy action only made her more curious and she tried to get it out of his pocket with more ferocity.
"What is it?", she asked trying to get it but her hands were rightly clasped by him.
Chenglei felt tenacious to give her the engagement hairpin like this and he cursed himself for forgetting that he had kept the hairpin in his pockets. He had planned to bring her to the Jin Manor he was building for her in the West near the Falin city for proposing.
He had acquired a large part of land that encompasses forest, mountain and seashore because his woman liked all such places. Inside that place, there is a cliff facing the sea and he had planned to build the ’Serene Resplendence Pavilion’ there, especially for them to watch the sunsets and that’s where he wanted to propose. The construction was almost over but it is paused for now. Her and him drinking tea together and watching sunsets holding each other for the rest of their lives... Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
The other parts of the Manor were already half built but he had paused the construction since all their plans changed after the Martial Arts Tournament and he had to leave and be with Shihong.
Even now he has plans to give her the hairpin after Old Rong is dead and after he successfully brings her out of the Palace.
