Chapter 280: The Girl Seiren Brought
Xing walked towards Seiren’s room following Bai Li when they were blocked by Zhong Huojin. He was quick to block their way but he was hesitant to act further. His mouth opened and closed a couple of times with no words uttered and Xing knew he was here to apologise.
But what good is an apology after you’ve done hurting a person, right? Also this is not the first time for him to do that and Xing knew it won’t be the last either.
"General Zhong!", Xing smiled mechanically, " Have you informed Lady Zhong that Seiren is fine? And when is Seiren returning home?", she asked walking past him.
"Your Highness! Mother’s been informed through a bird and Seiren is not willing to leave until the war is over. Also... He... He brought a woman", Huojin answered and his voice was slightly trembling with the nervousness he felt.
Xing who was about to open the door of the room Seiren was staying, paused her steps.
Brought a woman? That playboy who only knew to tease women, actually found a woman? And wait! What’s with everyone "bringing" a woman. My brother and now him...? Are women in our kingdom that scarce or that repulsive?
Xing sighed thinking what trouble Seiren brought and opened the door. The sight she saw took her by surprise.
Seiren was holding a girl by her waist and their lips were only an inch apart and with the light from the sun entering the room though the window, that scene looked divine and alluring at the same time.
"Tsk! Can’t you knock before entering, Milord?", Seiren said after loosening his grip on the waist of the woman he was holding and she got away from him like an arrow shot out from a bow. His robes were open which he fixed and his pretty face even though had lost most of its lustre and tanned extraordinarily, still looked divine.
He really is fine! Xing was thankful.
