Chapter 148: Wandering Alone
When Xing opened her eyes, she was in an unfamiliar place that was grey, cold and vacant. Everywhere she looked was desolate and gloomy. Xing was wondering where this might be and if she is dead.
Is this the underworld?
’Fine, let’s have a look around’, Xing decided and she took a step forward when a figure clad in shadow appeared in front of her making her startled.
"Well, well! What do we got here.. ? A beauty!", Xing looked at the source of the creepy voice and saw an attractive person wearing red and a long beard and there was a judge’s hat on his head.
King Yan! God of death!
Xing saw the perverted look on that God and felt creeps all over her.
" Greetings! King Yan!", Xing grinned. "Nice place you got here. Could use a splash of colour though. Grey is not very pleasing to the eyes", she stabbed right in his wounds with her interior designing ideas. Everyone knows King Yan loves colours but as he is the king of the underworld, his place where sun won’t shine, doesn’t permit colours.
That did nothing to change the perverted gaze of that god,unexpectedly.
"I was told not to send you to the afterlife and to return you to the land of the living. Now I know why...", he smiled cryptically and inched his face towards her and Xing stepped to the side avoiding him.
She remembered her master Yuan said something similar too. I’m not allowed to die? And why is King Yan creepy? Isn’t he the one who judges sinners and isn’t what he does now a sin? Oh, right.... Rules doesn’t apply to him because he is the King here!
