Chapter 70: THE DRAGON’S LAIR
WONHEE looked at Yejun suspiciously. "Your place? You have a place that hasn’t been seized by APA? Are you making me your accomplice now?" She took a step back away from him. "I’m a law-abiding citizen, Yejun-ah. I will not become an accessory to a crime."
Yejun tilted his head to one side. "Wonhee-ya, an Awakened Person’s Inventory belongs to the System. The government can’t take it back from us even if we commit a crime."
Huh?
It was annoying that Yejun could justify his crime that well.
[Wait, does it mean...?]
"Yejun-ah, are you saying that the place you often go to is your Inventory?" Wonhee asked, amazed and curious. "Can Awakened People enter their Inventory?"
That was how she interpreted the things he said.
And he didn’t deny it!
"Hunters cannot enter their Inventory– except for me," Yejun said, then he lent his hand to her. "Would you like to see my <Dragon’s Lair>, Wonhee-ya?"

"DID you find out anything, Soobin-ah?"
"Unfortunately, no," Soobin said, removing his glasses before pinching the bridge of his nose. "I dismantled the bullet and checked everything I could, but I didn’t find anything strange. I’m sorry, Geon-ah."
Geon shook his head and patted Soobin’s shoulder. "It’s alright, Soobin-ah. You don’t have to apologize."
Soobin just nodded, but he was already in deep thought.
Yesterday, the elite members of the Summer Guild brought the bullet that hit Ahn Kisoo to the National Guide Center.
Apparently, Ahn Kisoo lost his abilities as a Guide after getting hit by that bullet.
Hence, Soobin was summoned by his husband.
[After all, Geon knows I’m the best weapon maker in Korea.]
But Soobin had spent the entire night in his Hidden Workshop, only to return to Geon’s office in the National Guide Center without any useful information.
As someone hailed as the Blacksmith God, he felt embarrassed for his incompetence.
"How’s Ahn Kisoo?" Soobin asked worriedly. "Are his abilities as a Guide still inactive?"
"I talked to Hunter Kaia last night and, according to her, Ahn Kisoo is yet to recover his abilities," Geon said, then he sighed. "This is serious, Soobin-ah. Guides are already hard to come by. If there’s a weapon that could take away a Guide’s abilities, then our Hunters would take a huge hit."
"Yes, I know. We don’t even know whether the bullet only works on Guides or not," Soobin said, sighing. "APA shouldn’t know about this yet."
"Don’t worry. Only Graham’s team is aware of what happened to Ahn Kisoo," Geon assured him. "The Summer Guild doesn’t trust APA, so I don’t think they’ll tell Kwon Jiwoong about Ahn Kisoo’s case."
"That’s a relief then."
"I know, right? I’m glad many people hate Kwon Jiwoong."
Soobin chuckled at what his husband said.
"Anyway, I’m planning to bring Ahn Kisoo here to check if our devices here would still recognize him as a Guide."
"That’s a good idea. I’ll go with you."
"Are you sure, Soobin-ah? I thought you were busy planning our Hee-ya’s presscon."
"Semi Noona said she’ll take care of it," Soobin said, holding Geon’s hand. "Let’s go on a proper date after this."
Geon chuckled, but he nodded and squeezed his hand. "You promised, okay?"

A VILLA?
Wonhee was surprised when, upon opening her eyes, she was greeted by a beautiful mansion.
And it wasn’t a typical mansion that one would find in affluent areas in Korea.
It was a mansion that was similar to the mansions featured in romance fantasy webcomics with a medieval setting.
The garden and the water fountain in the middle were both beautiful.
"Wow," Wonhee whispered in admiration. "This is your Inventory, Yejun-ah?"
"Yep," Yejun said, holding her hand while pulling her inside the mansion. "This is actually the lair of a crazy dragon that I defeated a few years ago. I thought it was a waste to leave it in the dungeon, so I thought I should just put it in my Inventory."
"How did you even come up with that crazy idea when the System clearly states the size of our Inventory, huh?"
"Well, I don’t know where else to put the Dragon’s Lair."
"You thought you should put it in your Inventory... and the System just allowed you to do so?"
"I didn’t think it would be a problem since the limit of my Inventory is labeled as ’infinite.’"
She let out a gasp. "Infinite?"
"Yep, and that’s a secret," he said, then he put a finger on his nose. "You’re the first person I’ve told you about my Inventory."
Oh.
Strangely enough, Wonhee felt touched.
However, that feeling didn’t last long.
[Yejun is only being nice to me for the reward.]
Wonhee quickly pulled herself together, then she changed the topic without
Yejun shrugged. "Just a gut feeling? I don’t really remember since I got this Dragon’s Lair five or six years ago? My memories became hazy when I fell from grace."
Oh.
That was still amazing, though.
[Yejun was only in his twenties when he defeated a dragon from the dungeon...]
"Then can you bring other people here?"
"Nah, you’re the only person I can bring here other than me," Yejun said proudly. "The System probably only allowed your entry because it cares about you."
Ah.
[I’m starting to feel uncomfortable with how the System shows favoritism towards me...]
Her brain stopped working for a moment when she finally stepped foot inside the mansion.
Gold.
Most of the things that she saw there– from the furniture to the decors– were all made of gold.
Wonhee grew up in luxury, but the sight still amazed her.
"The dragon that I met liked gold," Yejun explained. "This mansion has a room that’s filled with gold, jewelry, and other pretty and expensive things. Do you want to see it? There’s nothing much to see there except for gold, though."
Pfft.
"Yejun-ah, you’re probably the only person in the world who’d say that there’s "nothing much" to see in a room full of gold."
"If you’re not there, then there’s nothing much to see even in a room full of gold, Wonhee-ya."
OH MY GOD.
Okay, she’d admit that the line was a bit cheesy.
BUT the way Yejun said it was so smooth that Wonhee found herself blushing. She may or may not have felt butterflies in her stomach.
[Hwang Yejun is full of
