Chapter 46: Murder of the 15th III
Interrogation Room, CID
It was 15 passed 10 in the evening when Criminal Investigation Department invited the assistant to come to the station for questioning.
"Oh, god." Elle groaned; after opening her door. She was already dressed for bed by then expecting she will have another busy day tomorrow at Guy’s. But the officers insisted she come.
She did so willingly, only for them to question her about a letter. A letter she made for Sam; it was a letter she sent herself.
Davies sat across the brunette, he pushed the letter inside the evidence bag, showing it to the brunette."Did you write this Ms. Hart? Don’t try and deny it, we have your--" he started, his tone getting louder.
"Yes, I did." Elle interrupted his little speech, unafraid, oblivious that Levi and Marco were standing behind the two-way mirror observing the whole exchange.
Davies scowled at the P. A’s confidence, the stern look on the woman’s face he observed as either a sign of innocence or psychopathy.
Davies cleared his throat, trying to regain his momentum back. "Why did you send this to me?" He asked.
Levi scoffed behind the mirror, eyes narrowed, jaw clenched. He was growing impatient with Davies taking his sweet time with the questioning. He stepped out of the room and barged in the Interrogation room with Marco in tow. The bearded man sent Davies an apologetic look, they both know it’s better to let Levi do his thing.
Levi marched towards Davies’ side, whilst staring straight at Elle. He leaned closer trying to make his point across, "March 15th, where were you?" he asked the obvious question to a suspect of serial murder.
Elle pondered for a moment, she can’t recall. No normal person can recall where they were during an ordinary date. "Ah, I don’t know...why?" she answered.
Levi’s palm slammed over the wooden table making both Elle and Davie jump on their seats, "Answer me!" he bellowed. Elle looked at Marco, and Davies mentally wondered why they were letting the blond prick turn a ’questioning’ into an interrogation.
