Chapter 79: Bad Feeling

"Please don’t tell me you’re seriously thinking about accepting that offer, that’s definitely not gonna lead to anything good," he instantly argued but I shook my head before exhaling.
I was on the fence on the issue anyway, but it wasn’t because of the fear of my own life, but because I want to protect him as well like he’s doing me.
"Anyways, why are you out here? Were you waiting for me?" I asked as I changed the subject, but Jake only laughed, clearly seeing right through me.
"Nice try, but that won’t work," he informed me. "Do you like him? Is that it?"
I pursed my lips for a few seconds. Do I like him? I think the answer should be obvious enough, I do like him. I actually like him a whole lot.
I didn’t end up responding, but apparently I don’t even need to because my facial expression already did the answering for me, because Jake let out a disbelieving huff while dialing his head.
" I don’t even know what to say," he finally pointed out and I let out a sigh as I shook my hair out oh my face again.
"How did it even happen? Last i remembered, you were very frightened at the thought of serving him, and now gourd saying you like him? That makes no saense to me, and I feel like you’re just not thinking straight."
I shook my head. "I knew you wouldn’t understand, Jake and that’s why I never tell you anything about it." I mumbled and hid lips thinned, a disappointed look across his face.
