Chapter 49: For The Taking

To say that I was horrified would be an understatement.
What was it with all the Prince’s cousins? They were all sick in the head, that was one way to describe them. Disgust and fear settled in my stomach as the Prince’s lips moved over mine and I wanted to push him awsy but his strong hands pinned mine at my sides. When he pulled away, my eyes were filled with tears which made him laugh as he looked over my face.
"A crybaby. How cute." He paused and leaned down to sniff at my throat.
"I would have a lot of fun breaking you. Let’s see how the Prince is gonna react to that. Aren’t you curious?" He asked and I shook my head fast as I blinked fast to push the tears threatening to fall back.
"I just want to leave. Can I please leave?" I whispered and his eyes narrowed as he looked over me.
"A slave speaking without being spoken to? Where are your manners?"
Dread flooded my entire insides and I hurriedly ducked my head. That seemed to please him because his palm came down on my head to pat it a few times, like he was petting an animal.
"That’s more like it."
I hate this so much. I hate his hand on my head. It wasn’t like Jake playfully messing around with me. It felt so freaking condescending but unfortunately, there was nothing I could do about it. I had hoped that today wouldn’t be as worst as yesterday had been for me, but now it was starting to seem like today might be even worst than yesterday was, and that made my heart bro race really fast as this alpha took my wrist again and lead me to the table I previously set his breakfast down on.
