Chapter 47: Disappointment

I felt extremely agitated, and cranky as hell.
Why?
Because I expected to see Lilac today, but I haven’t. Yesterday before I allowed him to leave, I told him i’d see him today, and I expected that he’d come to serve me today, so I kept waiting for him to arrive but he never showed up, and I wasn’t pleased in any way.
My first assumption was that he was avoiding me because he was frightened of me. I didn’t like that thought at all, because the thought of hurting him was absurd and he needed to know that I’d never hurt him.
My second assumption was that he was too embarrassed to face me after the slight sexual stuff that transpired between us. Honestly, this thought was cute as hell. He had nothing to be embarrassed of and he needed to be aware of that.
But if he won’t show up, then how would I tell him that?
A knock on my door arrived at that moment and it was one I recognized. On giving permission for my butler to step in, he did with a bow.
I couldn’t control the scowl that spread across my face. He wasn’t the one I wanted to see. The only person I wanted to see right now was lilac and only him. I wsnt fi set my eyes on him, breathe in his scent and revel in his presence. After having him in my bed for two days, him not being in my room for the past twenty hours was very displeasing to me.
"Your highness, I’m here to inform you that your bride has arrived just now." My butler announced.
I stiffened before letting out a laugh. So my father hadn’t been joking? He really thought I’d agree to take some girl as my bride just because he asked me to?
"The king has asked that you go welcome her and have dinner with her." My butler continued and I scoffed this time.
