Chapter 13: New Purpose

I blinked the tears away fast, my heart instantly flying into my throat as fear gripped me so hard, I’d have lost control of my bladder at once if I had anything in my stomach. The images in front of me didn’t change, the two golden eyes was still present.
I want to desperately convince myself that, that wasn’t the beast, and that it was just a figment of my imagination, but then a low rumble filled the room and all thoughts evaporated out of my head at once.
Oh heavens.

The rumbles began to build up, till a lord roar was tearing through the entire place, piercing through my ears and rattling my entire bones by the sheer loudness. It echoed and boomed loudly, the sound engulfing me with an immense amount of fear, and I began to sob again before I could think.
Oh gods.
It’s really a beast in here!
Is it gonna eat me?
The roar continuesd and I cried, knowing there was nothing I could do to say myself at this point. I was too weak to even lift my head, not to talk of attempting to run- and I was certain I was locked in here with this beast so even if I was strong enough to attempt to run, I won’t be able to leave.
Heavy footsteps dragged me out of my thoughts and when I forced my hazy eyes to focus, I realized that those piercing, golden, glowing eyes were moving closer with each loud thump on the ground.
