Sean nodded to that, recalling how his money, fame and standing that could make any woman drool for him wasn’t helping when it came to Ruby. That was all Diamond’s influence. Imagine if Ruby was like that, then what about Diamond?
He didn’t dare imagine how badly Waylon was going to suffer because of his love for Diamond.
"But tonight, when Jackie and I were arguing, I don’t know how and when she appeared at the restaurant but you can say that she listened to the damn whole argument!" Waylon felt embarrassed thinking about his situation.
The three guys took sips of their own drinks, hiding the stifled smiles on their faces.
"When Jackie stormed out, she fought for me and made Jackie so speechless. I felt better for the first time ever since Jackie started pointing fingers at me."
It was when that was said that the guys finally understood why their friend was being so bold.
"Later after Jackie left, we both chatted and dined in the restaurant and during that time, she lectured me a lot. Pointed where I was wrong and where Jackie was wrong and all that," he smilingly narrated, recalling how scary and wonderful that moment was.
The friends, seeing that all rolled their eyes, finding Waylon way too deep to extricate himself.
Sean nudged Luke as he whispered, "You can tell that he liked being lectured."
Luke chuckled faintly as he imagined that scene and responded, "I bet he did!"
After Waylon narrates the whole meeting with Diamond while excluding the relationship scenes, his friends finally get the chance to attack him.
"These feelings, are you sure that it’s love and not just some desire you have for her?"
