Chapter 806 - 804: ANNIVERSARY GONE WRONG
"Relax, Lon. Everything is going to be perfect. Trust me!" Mercy comforted the anxious Waylon, who was busy checking if everything had been prepared perfectly.
Waylon sighed deeply as he looked at Mercy and chuckled wryly, "I hope so. Do you think that she will be happy when I tell her the truth?"
Mercy felt complicated as she looked at Waylon, hiding her emotions from him, but still smiled as she answered him, "How could it be? It’s not like you meant to lie to her!" her tone filled with earnestness.
Waylon sighed with relief when Mercy said that and smiled relievedly. "That’s good. I hope that it all works well!"
He said as he looked around the restaurant, beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons and photos collected throughout the three years that he had been together with his girlfriend.
Mercy, seeing that Waylon was in a better mood, smiled faintly at him before saying, "She should be arriving anytime soon. I better leave!" though she felt reluctant to leave like that.
Waylon was unaware of Mercy’s feelings. He was just nervous about this date. He nodded at her and responded, "Um. I will see you tomorrow. Thank you for your hard work!"
Mercy acknowledged with a grunt before picking up her handbag and leaving the restaurant with a complicated gaze.
As she walked out of the alley, she couldn’t help but wonder how the date would end.
"Are we really not fated?" she asked wryly, letting out a mocking sigh as she unlocked the car, which was parked a short distance from her.
Filled with dejection, Mercy boarded her car and took deep breaths before driving away, wanting to escape from that place as soon as possible.
As the car drove away, she passed another black luxurious car and gave it a few glances before continuing to drive away.
