Diamond wasn't planning on making things difficult for others or sticking to a price that would make others be reluctant to buy. The market was practically fair, and there were several people there who were already in the poultry business.
The price of a chicken was A$70, and this was the price for broilers. The price for the traditional chickens, also known as road-runners, was A$100, which was quite expensive when compared to the others.
But in consideration of how healthy her chickens were and the resources she spent on the farm; she wasn't going to charge the flat price but slightly increase a bit to show how unique her fowls were.
"It's just A$10 higher than the rest, A$80 per chicken," without batting her eyelashes, Diamond revealed the prices.
Janet would have gotten angry if it was someone else who quoted such a crazy price, but this was her boss and her chickens were just so damn good. She wouldn't care if it was quoted at A$100.
"Sure, I want some," the other happily agreed, and Diamond did her first transaction at that very moment.
Janet didn't want to let such an opportunity go, so she bought five chickens at one go so that she wouldn't regret it in the future. She had this inkling that people would be rushing for these chickens as soon as they got to know about them.
Diamond didn't forget to advertise her chickens to her neighbors. Her relationship with Cecilia was quite good, and she had the other's number, so it was easy for her to catch up with her.
Cecilia didn't really think much about Diamond's chickens, but for the sake of the Court's harmony and maintaining friendly relations, she decided to buy some. Money wasn't a problem, especially for people living in extraordinary courts like theirs.
