The Return of the Cannon Fodder Trillion Heiress

Chapter 706 The Difference

His words, though polite on the surface, carried an unmistakable sting. The hidden message was clear—Leo didn’t think Dave was qualified to be his big brother.

After all, Dave lacked both the competence and the level-headedness necessary for such a role. He was impulsive, often acting like a petulant child whenever things didn’t go his way. And really, who in their right mind would want to be the younger brother of someone so immature?

In short, Leo had just called Dave useless—and he did it with a smile.

Dave, who had set out to belittle Leo, now found himself on the receiving end instead. A tight lump of frustration lodged in his throat, refusing to go down. He was fuming. It felt as if he had gathered dry branches, lit a fire, and then willingly thrown himself into the flames.

Behind him, the other three let out unrestrained chuckles, not even bothering to hide their amusement at his predicament. Dave’s head snapped back to glare at them, but he couldn’t say a word—he knew he had walked straight into this one. Resigned, he rolled his eyes dramatically before turning back to Leo with a scoff.

"Well then, since Big Brother Leo is so competent and great, I suppose I should be the one calling you big brother now, huh?"

"That’s right. Call me big brother and kowtow to me three times," Leo shot back without hesitation, his tone smooth and unyielding. "If you’re a good little brother, I might even pat your head and let you hide behind me for protection."

Leo’s words left no room for Dave to save face. By now, Dave felt as if he had swallowed a fly, his face turning an alarming shade of red from sheer frustration.

Rafael stepped forward and patted Dave’s shoulder with a smirk. "If you had just stayed quiet, no one would’ve mistaken you for a mute."
