Chapter 358 How It Feels Like To Be Fucking Rich!
"What?!!! What do you mean she’s already registered in the system?" Sienna shrieked, her voice rising in disbelief. The thought that the person she had just been looking down on could be more important than her was too much to accept. She refused to believe it.
Hera wasn’t particularly surprised by the news. Just like her phone, which was connected to the Avery’s system and automatically recognized whenever she made a reservation at any company under the Avery name, her card worked the same way. Not only was it linked to all the companies for her income, but it also served as a membership card for any Avery-owned establishment.
Initially, Hera assumed the manager was fully aware of her connection to the Avery system, which is why he requested her black card. However, his surprised reaction revealed that while he recognized the card, he wasn’t aware of its full capabilities. Deciding to play along, Hera, along with the manager, ignored Sienna’s outburst and continued the conversation.
"In that case, please register this gentleman for a membership card," Hera said, gesturing towards Bry’s father. "And could you also upgrade this young man’s membership card as well?" she added, pointing to Gael.
Although Hera didn’t know Gael well and hadn’t formed a positive impression of him initially, the fact that he tried to stand up for her against Sienna earned him some redemption in her eyes. Besides, upgrading his membership was a perfect way to irritate Sienna even more—especially after she had just been bragging about her platinum card.
How satisfying it would be to see the person who looked down on her crumble when they realized someone they despised held an even better card. That would certainly shatter Sienna’s ego, and Hera couldn’t wait to see it happen. Her smile widened, her eyes narrowing with a touch of wicked delight as her inner villainess reveled in the unfolding drama. She was ready to watch someone cry out of embarrassment, knowing full well it wouldn’t be her.
Sure enough, the moment Hera finished speaking, Sienna’s temper flared. She looked like a raging bull ready to charge, her eyes burning with fury as her knuckles turned white from clenching her fists so tightly. It was clear she wanted nothing more than to march over and slap Hera, but with the manager still present, all she could do was glare daggers at her.
The manager noticed Sienna’s barely contained fury but chose to follow Hera’s lead. "Of course, Miss Ainsley," he responded smoothly. "Let’s head inside. I’ll have someone take care of the paperwork for your guests while we relax and discuss things further." He respectfully returned Hera’s black card with both hands, and once she placed it back in her bag, he escorted them out of the lobby and into a private lounge reserved exclusively for the Avery family.
Their procession through the racecourse caused quite a stir, with everyone turning to watch as the manager personally escorted Hera and her group. The sight of the establishment’s top official catering to them sparked immediate chatter, and soon, the events in the lobby became the talk of the day, spreading like wildfire among those who had witnessed the confrontation and those eager to hear the latest gossip.
